Working under a tree on a table, a twig falls and lands on this piece. I personally would not use a twig, but its happenstance, so I varnish it onto the piece. The 10-inch twig makes itself at home on an island of irregularities. There is torn vinyl, painted tissue paper, latex slathers, a heart in a moon behind a palm tree, and the twig. A few gulls are approaching. These things have fallen together from above. No doubt now, the only regularity in an artist's life is irregularity.
