47-1/2" X 24-3/4" framed
Bought from a Tucson street person as a contribution
to his daily needs, I laid the black velvet painting of a Yucca
desert scene on the floor. Every time I walked by, I threw whatever
I had in hand (water, turpentine, leftover paints, sprays). The
soaked velvet dried in the desert heat with hardly making a puddle.
This process took weeks of soaking and drying. I turned the piece
upside down and figures appeared as if for a séance. Turned upside
down again you can see the original desert-scape. |
