22" x 26-1/2" framed (3 layers) A thicket of rocks, evening flowers, a long night. The moon has gone to sleep. The stamen, pistils, stigma—the stems of flowers are carved like rock and then colored. The thicket grows. First light is approaching, and as the horizon lightens, the thicket begins to separate and thin out. Soon the plants will disappear and only rocks will be left behind. The next evening dreams come easy again. |
