(3 layers) Gathering whatever is around is a binding force of all things human. Bringing things within arms' reach and then close to the body, embracing their ordinariness like armfuls of orchids and blossoms and fragrances, we can remain or become truthful gleaners in life. We find we can gather old dreams, new ideas, forgotten acts (best forgotten but persistent)— wrap all this in the skirts of time and then bind them to each other tightly, like lovers in the act. |
