Acrylics, glitter glue, terra cotta pen, plastic ice crystals, and clear packaging tape on a black velvet ring tray

Found among discarded jewelry cases and a rotating, locked display tower at curbside. It seemed like the owners had closed down a small jewelry business. The tray’s first layer of glitter glue turned it into a frame of colored swirls on black velvet. Patches of clear tape were drawn on with terra cotta pens. Slits were cut into the tape and plastic ice crystals inserted randomly, the way snow falls. And there she is, standing naked in the falling snow.
