A house fire
in 1996 destroyed all my work. This canvas was tucked in a hallway where
the fire
scorched it, but didn’t burn the canvas. I stripped it down to the bare canvas, but pieces
of material were fused to the fabric. This produced the effect of slits. A
provocative image mixed into the fumage and collage as I restored the surface. I recognized the provocative
look from my youth. |
