Going to the Edge

Going to the Edge

20"x 16" framed (4 layers)
Acrylics, gel, iridescence, spray enamel, and terra cotta pens on canvas board

This picture frame is deep, making a shallow tray. I was able to submerge my paint in deep textures and copious varnish while building ridges of gel. I let several layers dry until they were barely moist then began to tear it open a bit here, a bit there. Across this rugged terrain, I then walked iridescence paint from the left to almost the edge of the right side. What do you do when you get to the end? I was thinking about death and dying and all things mortal, each in their own time marching off the edge...
