BROKEN VASE

Collage, montage, spray enamel, and acrylics on matted poster board under glass

A curbside discard with cracked glass, I disassembled the piece and tore its picture into random pieces. Following Arp, I let the pieces drift and land by chance. I sprayed and let more torn pieces fall. I repeated this process three times and a broken vase of flowers appeared. I reassembled the piece, cracked glass and all, to capture its history.
